Floral Work

Though my passion is natural light portrait photography, I was blessed to "happen" into an opportunity to do some work for a florist here in Lubbock. She wanted someone to take some pictures after her decorating for a big Texas Tech fund raiser. I've done this for her twice now, and I am enjoying learning a new area of photography. [Read More...]

The biggest challenge I have during these new opportunities is knowing that my equipment is not up to par. I have gear for natural light photography, and some of this stuff really calls for a flash...and a soft box...and a wider lens...and NOT a video tripod.

It's alright, though. I'm learning to work within my means, and it's coming out fine. I'm also glad that this work has been more "documentary" and isn't something that someone wants to blow up and print on a big canvas.
