Traveling Wet

Photobucket

When life gives a photographer lemons,
he takes pictures of them.

My wife and I were flying standby to Dallas on Friday and got bumped off of two flights in a row. For those of you who don't know, the Lubbock airport is not an exciting airport to get stuck in (though their free wireless internet is greatly appreciated). So while my wife was working on the computer, I got my camera out and started walking through the terminal. I took several shots of this Southwest scene, but it wasn't until my second pass that the ground crew was out there, and it's really the human element here that helps take this shot up a notch.

So much drama can be created when taking pictures in bad weather. As I was shooting, a man walked by me and said, "Not the best weather to be taking pictures in, huh?"

"Actually," I told him, "it's some of the best."
